The Palestinian Orthodox Church is also known as Genuine Orthodox Christian GOC. We are an Old Calendarist Orthodox Christians who remained committed to the traditional Orthodoxy practices and we are not in communion with any other Orthodox Churches such as the Ecumenical Patriarchate. the split began with a disagreement over the abandonment of the traditional Church calendar also called the Julian calendar.
Our Autocephaly

On July 24, 2020 the Palestinian Orthodox Church has received its Autocephaly granted from the Holy Synod of our Mother Church the Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece . An “autocephalous” Church is completely self-governing. It elects its own primate and has the right to consecrate its own Holy Chrism, among other prerogatives unique to autocephalous Churches. [The term “autocephalous” literally means “self-heading.”]
